"For I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you visited me."  Matthew 25:36

Support services are very important to the success of our program. Studies show that 50-60% of inmates released into the community without support will return to prison. Mentors encourage the women to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other support groups. They also interact with State and community services such as, The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Sound Community Health and Counseling Services and Nutritional Programs. Mentors provide a Houses of Healing Program that teaches emotional literacy and other skills that may have been absent in women's lives. American Job Services provides resume writing, interviewing skills and job procurement and is located on a bus route.
